The Monkeyface Chronicles

The Monkeyface Chronicles by Richard Scarsbrook fallows the life of Philip Skyler, a teenage boy born with an extreme facial deformity. It brings you through his challenges with middle school, hockey practices, family, and relationships. Scarsbrook defiantly writes about the  characters in a way that you either love them, or hate them.  This is an inspiring story, and even though I wouldn't read it again, I would recommend it. I think that boys may like this book more, but it was still a good read for me.
